Find your a/c compressor, you will see one small aluminun line and one large line. Follow the large line from the compressor to the firewall. On that large line and any components that attach to it, you will see a charnge port. That is the port you will charge the system from.
Good luck.

You have a leak, have the system pressure tested for leaks. I bet you have a leak in the system like a water pump or the radiator.

If automatic transmission wont work engine block's are not the same, if stander transmission you could swap out bell housing held on with four bolt's from one to the other. Good luck and hope this was very helpful.

Have a set of ac gauges put on the truck to make sure the pressures are correct,to see if there is a restriction, and if it is low on freon.

Where do I recharge ac at

there are 2 ports one for low pressure and one for high pressure. the low pressure is bigger in diameter and is usually close to the dryer and or fender and firewall. the high pressure is near the condensor on the fron of the vehicle. if there are caps for the ports low will be blue and high will be red. low side pressure should be 35-50 psi and high pressure should be 135-150 psi

2000 ford taurus low end ac valve

please rate as fixed if this helps you.

The low pressure service gauge port valve is located on the evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line.

The evaporator to accumulator/drier suction line contains low pressure refrigerant gas and is equipped with a serviceable low pressure A/C charge valve port.
