The best place to check is the dealer. I would also check your local auto parts store, They have the information there. The old saying is German specs Good and Tight , Ha, Ha,

Good luck

SOURCE: need torque specs

Valve Rocker Arm Bolt 19 N·m + 30° (14 lb ft+ 30°)
A GM dealer shows me another source, which says 32 Nm (24 lb-ft). Not sure which one is right but they screwed up my car.

I need too know the torque specs on head bolts and crankcam 2.4 engine

on a 2002 2.4 engine head bolts are 'torqued to distance'.

First, install all the bolts, and, in a sequential fashion, starting at the innermost, working outward, torque all bolts to 70 N-m/806 kgf-cm/58 foot lbs.

Next, mark the front side of each head bolt with a dot of paint. Retighten the cylinder head bolts 90 degrees, starting at the inner 2, and working outward.I dont thin anything has changed on this engine since then.

Cant get the oil pan off a 302

You have to jack the engine up after removing the motor mount bolts on each side. Then once you have the engine jacked up a few inches, slide a piece of wood (2x4) in between the upper and lower parts of the motor mounts on each side. This will keep the engine elevated enough for you to drop the oil pan and replace the gasket. Then, just put all the bolts back in in the proper torque sequence, torque them all to spec, remove the wooden blocks from the motor mounts, slowly lower the engine back down and put the motor mount bolts back in.

I have a 2001 oldsmobile silhouette and I need to change the spark plugs I see the three up front but I am not sure how to get to the three in the back?

You'll have to rotate the engine forward.Remove the air cleaner duct and accelerator cable.Place transmission in neutral(Block rear wheels). Remove the two bolts and detach driver's side torque strut(front engine mounts) .remove one bolt from radiator side of the passenger side torque strut. Use a ratchering strap attach to radiator support and engine lifting eye, rotate engine forward. remove coil pack to ease access to spark plugs. Good luck!!

Do I really need to raise the engine off its mounts to access the pump mounting bolts?

if this is in reguards to a water pump on a 3.8. then yes you do. i've done it myself its a pain but beats a $500 laber charge. you have to loosen the passenger side engine mounts then carefully raise the passenger side of the engine with a jack so that it clears the wheel well (also the engine mount have to be retorque to specific pound on a torque wrench)

Need the torque specs for the straight six 300 ford motor

Here is the spec for 1977 through 1984 on the Ford 300 or so called now the 4.9 engine:
Cylinder head bolts: 70-75 lbs. The sequence is driver's side starting on bolt one (fifth bolt in line of bolts or center of line of bolts) and going straight across to bolt 2 on passengers' side and then to the side of bolt 2 is bolt 3 and back across to bolt four to the right of bolt 1. This is done in a zig -zag pattern until all bolts are torqued to recommended torque.

segon s version
rear front
13 9 5 1 4 8 12 torque specs are in three steps
11 7 3 2 6 10 14 1) 55lbs 2) 65lbs 3) 85 lbs

4 torque bolts 1 thru 10 to 110 ft/lbs

Replace water pump

First you must drain the coolant. Remove powersteering pump[keep hoses connected)this is just to make room for water pump removal so just sit it off to he side.Loosen the the water pump pulley mounting bolts, remove the drivebelt, remove the pump pulley. Remove the pump mounting bolts and pul the pump from engine.Install every thing in reverse ,but be sure to clean the mating surface of old sealer and gasket first, also be sure to use RTV gasket sealer on engine side of the new gasket.Be sure not to over/under tighten the bolts the torque specs. are 22 to 29 for the long bolts and 96 to132 for short bolts and 108 to 132 ft lb for the pulley bolts.
