NO BUS displayed in odometer display as well as warning lights are on. No radio,no heat & grinding tranny sounds when shifting out of drive to park. Whats wrong with my car?
Re: NO BUS displayed in odometer display as well as...
A display showing NO BUS is a communication error between one or modules. All your symptoms may be related. You can try disconnecting the battery for 30 seconds to see if all resets. If not, a diagnostic from a scan tool may be required to isolate which module is not communicating and repair from there

The standard instrument cluster contains a microprocessor. The instrument panel cluster (IPC) microprocessor communicates with other controllers in the vehicle over the Class 2 serial data bus. The information passed over the Class 2 bus, along with direct external connections to other controllers and devices provides the inputs that are used to operate all of the gauges and the illuminated displays in the cluster. Some displays and gauges are operated directly by external sources (devices or controllers) and others are under software control of the IPC. As the IPC microprocessor runs the operating software, the microprocessor continuously processes Class 2 data in order to determine the correct values and states to display.
PRNDL Indicator (Park Reverse Neutral Drive Low)
The PRNDL display is a variable function electronic display located in the IPC. The PRNDL display is capable of displaying PRND321. The display electronically illuminates, or lights the back of the desired character in order to indicate the gear selection in the transmission. The IPC controls the PRNDL by use of the Class 2 messages that are received from the PCM/VCM. The vehicles with automatic transmissions have an electronic park reverse neutral drive low (PRNDL) range indicator. The system uses the signals from the neutral safety back up (NSBU) switch on the side of the transmission. Signals from this switch determine which LED is in the electronic PRNDL will light. The system is electronic. No internal adjustment is needed. Refer to Transmission/Transaxle for diagnostic information.

Reset the shift linkage with in park on transmission.Loosen the lock nut at the rod to column and set the shifter to park position.Tighten the nut and your good.Same thing if floor shift.
sounds like you have a serious PCM or ECM problem..contact a dealership with a reputable service department and ibquire about re flashing your cars computer
sounds like the Flywheel Is Broke Or Loose Does it MAke Noise when driving ?or just Settin Still To put in to Park then It,s Tranny Problem Let Me Know What Ya Did Please thank,s again
This solution will be of great help to you, even in the case of future or other dashboard problems; Instrument cluster consists of electronic analog gauges, various warning lights, and optional tachometer. Vehicles equipped with tachometer have an electronic vacuum fluorescent transmission range indicator (PRND3L),odometer and trip odometer display. Vehicles without tachometer are equipped with a cable-operated transmission range indicator. Instrument cluster is equipped with the following warning lights: Battery voltage. Cruise (speed control). Door ajar. Fasten seat belt. Lift gate ajar. Low fuel level. Low windshield and washer level. Traction Control. The Body Control Module (BCM), which receives input from various sensors, sends display information to instrument cluster and operates gauges. Instrument cluster incorporates a self-test diagnostic feature to identify electronic problems. BCM, Powertrain Control Module (PCM), and Transmission Control Module (TCM) are continuously monitored by the diagnostic system.
SELF-DIAGNOSTICS With ignition off, press and hold TRIP and RESET buttons while turning ignition switch to ON position. Continue to hold TRIP and RESET buttons until odometer window displays CODE (approximately 5 seconds). If problem exists, system will display diagnostic trouble codes. See DIAGNOSTIC CODE CHART table. If no problem exists, Code 999 (end test) will be displayed. DIAGNOSTIC CODE CHART CodeDescription 110.......Cluster Memory Fault 111.......Cluster Calibration Fault 905.......No CCD Bus Message From TCM 921.......Odometer Fault From BCM 940.......No CCD Bus Message From PCM
After diagnostic code display ends, instrument cluster will go into each of the following tests in order: Dim test. Calibration test. Odometer segment test. Electronic Transmission Range indicator segment test. Dim Test CHEC-0 will be displayed in odometer window. Instrument cluster will dim Vacuum Florescent (VF) display. If VF displays do not dim, a problem in instrument cluster exists. See BODY CONTROL COMPUTER TESTS in BODY CONTROL COMPUTER article. Calibration Test CHEC-1 will be displayed in odometer window. Each of instrument cluster gauges will move sequentially through each calibration point. See GAUGE CALIBRATIONS table. If gauge needle is not calibrated properly, a problem in instrument cluster exists. Odometer Segment Test CHEC-2 will be displayed in odometer window. Each segment of odometer will light sequentially. If any segment does not light, replace instrument cluster. Electronic Transmission Range Indicator Segment Test CHEC-3 will be displayed in odometer window. Each segment of electronic transmission range indicator will light sequentially. If any segment does not light, replace instrument cluster.
