The fuel tank must be removed from the vehicle to access the pump.
There is no way to get at it otherwise.

Thanks for using FixYa.

Please accept this answer to remove it from the work queue.

Thanks

"The fuel pump needs replacing. How do I get to it."

Means to me you didn't know.

Youll have to raise the car on ramps or lift.

Support the tank with a tranny stand or floor jack

    Cut off the 2 straps.

    Lower the tank.

    Disconnect the pump electrical.

    Drain the gas.

    Replace the pump.

    Hang 2 new straps (rear)

    Connect electrical.

    Hoist tank.

    Secure 2 straps (front)

    Connect gas line.

    Fill with gas.

A Haynes manual (available at any parts store) will give you this step by step info with illustrations.

You can also download the manual at haynes.com.

    Thanks!!

Where is the fule pump located on a 1994 xjs jaguar convertible

The fuel pump is located under the chassis, in the gas tank. You can often gain access for testing and replacing it by removing the rear seats and opening the small panel that is under the seat.

Hi irvj6ohn:
The 1993 and 1994 XJ6 Fuel Pump Relay is located in the trunk of the vehicle on the right hand rear side. It is light blue and black in color.
