The blower motor resistor and relay pack is mounted between the evaporator and the front blower motor on the right side front of the dash housing. Usually when the resistor goes bad all speeds except high don't work. Does high speed work?

THE BLOWER AND RESISTOR ARE UNDER THE HOOD ON THE PASSENGER SIDE. CHECK FOR POWER AND GROUND AT THE RESISTOR CONNECTOR AND MAKE SURE THE FUSE IS NOT BLOWN.

Have a 2009 Nissan Quest I can't turn the heat off. Just stays on a high level of blowing out heat .

If you have a fan that has different speed settings (1234, or low med high etc) and the only one that works is high - then the blower resistor pack has failed. If you have a climate control unit (where you just pick a temp you want) then the fan is controlled by the heating system and it sets fan speed. If you have climate control style try lowering the temp to a lower setting (current temp in vehicle) and see if fan slows down. If not then climate control unit or fan resistor bad. If dial type and you get nothing on lower settings (only high works like mentioned above) you need to change blower resistor. It is located under dash near the fan itself. Look for small unit bolted in duct near fan with wire plug going to it.

Heater blower motor.,Highspeed only works..problem??

9 out of 10 times its the heater fan resistor doing this. it has wires that corresponed to diffreent speed settings for heater fan. the resistor is beside the blower motor, Your Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor controls the heating equipment in the vehicle by opening and closing the fan motor. The Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor allows the heating and climate control system to control the speed of the vehicle's cooling fan. its under the passenger side glove box. undo 2 screws and disconnect the electrical connector. thats it!!

A/c switch or relay on 2000 cherokee jeep My level on ac unit only works on number 4. Went to U Pull It got another unit and it only works on number. My next step is the relay plug but have no clue...

it sounds like the blower resistor/module is bad. It is located either behind the glove box or under the passenger side of the dash near the blower motor.

Manual climate control uses a blower resistor to control fan speed. it will have 5 wires going to it. A tan. lt green, lt blue, an 2 black with tan wires.

Automatic climate control will have three wires going to the blower motor module.

Heres a how to tip that may help explain what is going on

Heater Motor Speed Controller location lincoln town car 2000

I would check that the blower motor speed controller under the hood is getting a signal from the climate control. The speed controller will be a lot less expensive and goes more often then the climate control unit in the dash...

zjlimited_1133.jpg

You should really test the signal from the climate control to the blower speed control; if I where to try something I would go with the blower motor speed control... it may be called the blower resistor if you call for the part just make sure it matches up with the one you have on the car.

Good luck.

I have a 2002 Elantra. Yestreday the lower fan speeds on the air conditioner fan stopped working (positions 1,2,3). The High speed (position 4) works. Any ideas how to correct?

The blower motor resistors or fan switch itself are defective.
High speed has no resistors B+ goes straight to blower motor.

I have a climate control problem on 2004 gmc envoy, it's climate control's fan is not working at level 1-3

The likely problem is the blower motor resistor pack is defective. It is located behind an access panel below the glovebox. Go to www.trailvoy.com and do a search on "blower motor resistor replacement"

Works great on high only doesnt work on any other speed

If it is manual climate control.
You have a bad blower motor resistor. To replace it remove the lower dash panel cover below the glove box and it will mount in the heater housing with 2 screws. It will have a 4 wire connector with the wire colors being OG/BK,LG/WH, YE/RD, BK
If it is electronic climate control then you would have to replace the blower speed controller which is also located in the same place.
