Try any parts store and see if they will read codes for you. Then post those codes and we will go from there.

I have a 1991 Mitsubuishi mighty max truck . The truck runs fine until I drive for about 1 mile and then the check engine light comes on and the truck starts shaking , but does not lose power.

Hi, I own an 86 Mighty Max truck myself. Is there anyway you can get the code number for the engine light coming on. It could be many things that cause this problem. Fuel filter, EGR, Clogged Catalyst, Sparkplug Misfire, Cracked Distributor Cap, the list goes on. It needs to be determined if the problem is fuel or electrical related to help diagnose the problem.

The check engine light stays on but cannot retrive any codes on my 1991 toyota 3.0 v6 pickup. the truck runs very bad is hard to start and has astrong rotten egg smell after a while of running.

When you get any check light ,you have it checked
for codes within a day---NOT A YEAR LATER

You have ALL PROBLEMS diagnosed, resolved &
paid for-- in a couple weeks or you can damage your
motor & other items

Yours is an OBD1 System (1981 thru 1995)

Google the diagnostic connector location,test
procedure & codes

My dodge is a 1996 dodge ram 1500 with a 3.9 v6. my truck runs rough most of the time, i took it to autozone and they said that the check engine light was indicating that the truck was running too lean....

intermittent lean condition may be caused by leaking intake manifold gaskets. Get some carb cleaner and start the truck. Open the hood and spray carb cleaner on the intake manifold gaskets. If the engine reacts at all, you have a gasket leak. If you have questions, please let me know.

Engine light is on some times when i start it and it runs like **** its a 93 honda accord wagon

If the engine light is appearing you should be able to retrive some codes from the engine ECU. Take your car to an auto shop such as Autozone. They will, at know charge, plug in to your cars computer to retrive any codes which (hopefully) will lead you right to the problem.
I'd start there and proceed.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom

The check engine light came on, and now stays on, in my 03 tacoma, the truck seems to run fine, no hesitation or roughness noticed. Any ideas where or what to look for?

autozone has a fre check they they can run on your car. They will givbe you a code, that code will then tell us what is throwing that check engine light.

Left me know what u find out so i can help more
