Seat won't move forward, cant get to the rear bolts to remove seat because seat is back as far as it can go is there any way to move the seat manually

You must remove the seat from the power seat transmission then remove the drive motor from the seat transmission, move the seat to the desired position and reinstall the motor to lock it in place. The seat transmission is bolted to the seat mounting bracket/rails.

How do you move a electric seat manually?

The best fix, is to fix it properly. If faulty seat motor, replace it. If faulty wiring circuit or fuse, fix it. Sometimes if seat motor is ok, with use of wiring diagram for proper wiring colors, you can use jumper wires, voltage and ground, to move seat to wanted position.

Remove the seat from vehicle, see what is keeping seat from moving in direction that you want. If seat motor drive gear is keeping seat from moving, remove, then see if you can position seat where you want it, then, put everything back together.

Manually move power seats

Not really a cheap way to fix it. You have a motor and cables that turn to move the seat. The motor and cables would need to be removed to allow the seat to move, then there would be nothing to keep the seat in place unless you put the motor back.
A manual seat uses a latch and slotted track to move the seat and lock in place.

1997 Sable Driver Seat Only Moves 2 Inches At A Time

Could be the switch, but it sounds like the motor is going bad. However, I dont know if you tried to lubricating the tracs. Some of these seats are on ball bearings and some on nylon bushings, either way they need to be lubricated once in a great while. Have you tried to help the seat to move by pushing in the direction it is going to see if it speeds up. If so, the seat motor is going out or the tracks are binding up. I hope this helps.

Passenger seat jammed won't move backward

Should be a coat-hanger type hard steel wire running from lever to move seat to move 2 levers, one on each side of seat and this allows it to travel on a toothed track.  Could just be dirt and stuff lodged in this track.  Move these levers out and seat will move but both levers have to be moved to move seat - if spring is off on one side will only move on one side.  Just reach under with light and manually move these levers and push on seat.

Front driver seat only moves apx. 2" back from the front of the track. Fuses are good. Back of seat controls work. The pre sets do not move the seat back.

Make sure there is nothing obstructing the seat from under the seat track.Sometimes things fall down there and will jam the seat track.Move the seat up all the way and look it over real good under the seat.Hope this helps.
