How does the engine come out in a 2000 GMC 3500 Savana Van. I have a friend that will replace it but he usually pulls engines out of cars with a pull system on a tree. will this work or does it come out another way - does the grill come off or from underneth or inside

You need to pull the pressure sensor and install a manual test gage, (borrow from Autozone or other chain part store) that is the only way to verify the engine is not loosing oil pressure.
sounds like the pump died after that filet being clogged! fuse and relay are in the fuse block under the hood drivers side fender wall. ecm-b fuse g12 - f11 is what is said the location was! hopefully this helps
