with a 1993 you do not want to run it with out the thermostat it will damage the engine but you might want to try getting a low temp thermostat from advance auto parts and try that

If youre able to, try accessing it from the bottom. It will be held down by screws, most likely 10mm sockets.

having worked on this type of a problem before.... first have some one run the washer for you. look at the rear for the fluid to come out at the rear driver's side, also open the hood and watch near the fill opening for the washer fluid and the fender. GM's fittings tend to come apart at those spots.

First check that your rad cap is holding pressure, if its not it will also let coolant flow out of your expansion tank pipe. Start with the simple things first. hope this helps
