Question about 1995 Volvo 850
Power steering, and lamps in the instrument:
Your problem is mainly at the accessory belt, the one on the far right of the engine.
It might also be the guide roller placed behind the alternator that has "locked" its bearing.
Both are quite easy to change, even if the fitting of the guide-roller might be some tricky.
replace both belt and roller.
Note: the guide roller I talk about is NOT the one wich holds the tension to the accessories belt, but one that is mounted directly to the engine block.
Front seat heaters:
Under the seat is the themoswitch for the seat heaters. These are kept in place by a spring.
However, the connections to the thermoswitches is possible loose. I always replace the connectors, use a high-flexible cable (RK2,5mm) and then reconnects them to the cablegland under the seat.
The rest of the problems is often due to poor earthing. There is several connections made to the chassis of the car, and you should check those near te apparatus you are experiencing problems with. For the turnsignal, check the tail-lamp on the side you are having problem. Just take it out of the car, and clean it thouroghly with WD-40 or similar. Each bulb and socket.
(It is a good idea to replace all bulbs, even if they are in working condition at the same, cause they will fail soon).
Could be one or more earthing connections.
