What else to check?

1998 Chevy Stepside C1500 been running fine. Went to ''move'' the truck-wouldn't start-gets fuel just doesn't carry through. Finally starts back up today after sitting last night. Now won't go over 20 mph. There are no codes. Everything is lit and showing fine on dashboard. Replaced fuel filter months ago. 3/4 of a tank of gas. Any suggestions? I'm unable to check Fuel pressure.

Check your fuse for the transmission if it is an automatic. It may have went into a limp mode without power to the soleniods as such all you will have is 2nd gear and reverse. Also the PRNDL switch may not be getting power too, so it would give you trouble starting.

(1)Remove the air cleaner, looking down the primary throttle bore (front) move the throttle at the carburetor. Did you see fuel spray? if so its not a fuel related issue.
(2)Next, check your battery cables. High resistance in a cable (corrosion) will get worse with heat. Heat increases resistance. You may want to replace them depending how old they are. You need to check for condition and security of how they are connected ( good tight, clean connections). Sometimes its difficult to spot corrosion with the plastic insulation on top of the cable. Corrosion is usually at the ends where the bare wire is exposed.
(3) May have a bad starter. My old Ford would crank slow when hot. Found bad cables, but eventually had to replace starter too. Works great now.

1996 chevy cheyenne, c1500 starts but engine won't

When the key switch is off and the engine is not running, do you have power to the coil ? Could be a problem with the key switch.

1998 chev 1500 hard starting when cold but starts fine after warming up changed plugs and sensors

The first thing i would tey is changeing the fuel filter. Chevy has a problem with the design from the fuel pump to the fuel inlet on the intake manifold. What they did it is back up the power supply to the fuel pump from the fuel relay and split the curicut and ran the back up through the oil pressure sending unit . So even if the relay went bad while driveing the fuel pump would still get power and the truck wouldn't die on the road its a saftey thing .But if the relay is bad then the engine needs to build up enough oil pressure to trip the oil sending unit to send power to the pump from cranking thus a long cranking time when cold . Change the fuel filter first it should be replaced every 4 to 5 years anyway . A nd if that dosn't fix it try the relay it should be behind a panal inside the glove box on your truck and if that dosn't work replace the oil pressure sending unit. One of these 3 things should work if the fuel pump is working correctly

My first thought would be: If you repaired an emissions hose, take the car back to Auto Zone (or another parts supplier) and let them tell you what code comes up now. You eliminated one problem, now you have to find another.
I wouldn't do a fuel pump without more information.

My truck was running fine and got in it the next day and it wouldn't start.. I'm not getting any spark.

What year model is the truck? if it has a Tach then crank engine over if tach doesn't move then suspect a faulty crank sensor if it does move check power to coil. several other things this could be but this is a start.

Get a fuel regulator test done. I have same truck. Had same problem. 1 place told me my trans was bad. Another told me cataltic convertor was bad and that the fuel was coming ok when truck was started but when the gas peddle was down the amount of gas per second went down. Fuel pump is your answer. I changed the fuel pump, fuel filter and nothing else and she drives fine now.i hope this helps. My girl friends saturn was doing the same thing. Can you hear the fuel pump in the gas tank running for a few seconds when you turn your key to the on position without starting the engine? If you do not hear it something is wrong! If that's not the issue this could take a little while to pin down so feel free to contact me: over4dy@yahoo.com
