Code P0102 chevy blazer 2001

A code P0102 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: The MAF may be disconnected, or a wiring connection may be bad The MAF may be dirty or otherwise contaminated (Note: if you use a reusable oiled air filter, be careful not to apply too much oil or that can contaminate the MAF). The MAF sensor may be faulty The vehicle computer may be faulty (very rare) Possible Solutions The simplest thing to do is to reset the code and see if it comes back. Then start with the cheapest, easiest repair procedures: Verify that the Mass Air Flow Sensor wiring is connected properly and that there are no broken / frayed wires. Inspect for any air leaks near the MAF sensor. Take the MAF out and clean it using a spray cleaner such as brake cleaner or electrical contact cleaner. Be gentle with the sensor. Check the voltage of the MAF sensor (refer to a repair manual for vehicle specific information) Replace the MAF sensor.

Car won't accelerate at all

P0102 is mass air flow sensor. Even though it is a says short to ground, I believe i would change it. That is probably what the problem is. Do check the wiring to it though. Look for any obvious signs of broken wire or bare wire touching a ground. Otherwise change the MAF. They are easy to change and are in the intake of your air cleaner. It will cause the problem you are talking about.

2002 chevy impla v6 esngine 3800 check engine light is on, codes read po102 what does this mean

Code p0102, on either the 3.4 or 3.8 (3800) v6 engine is a problem in the Mass Air Flow sensor (MAF). If any work has been done to it just prior to this code, then you need to make sure the air cleaner, duct work, breather tubes, etc. are properly connected and not loose. If that is OK, then may have a bad, or dirty sensor.
