1997 Explorer Hood is not completly closed to

Sat on the hood and pulled the outside hood release lever. The air filter case was causing the air supply hose to the intake to hit on the bottom of the hood. Looking from the side of the fender, you could see that the air filter case and hose was above the fender causing the obstruction. Pulled air filter case away from fender monut 1/2 inch and had hood clearance.

Where is the oil filter located on a 2008 Explorer?

If it is not in the front, on the left side of the engine, it's on the right side up high close to the exhaust

Hood stuck closed

You'll have to push down hard on the hood while someone else tries the release lever.

Replace front turn signal lamp

if u cant get to it from under the hood, u might have to remove the housing.
