2001 Dodge Durango front and. Rear heat front floor no heat

The blend door or actuator is proba ly bad. And needs replaced

It's most likely your heater core that is causing the problem it could be leaking either from the core it's self causing anti freeze to get into your vents or from one of the hoses leading to it.....I am assuming that when your heat is on there is a dampness in the air this is what is causing the windows to fog up.

are you talking about the overhead vents? They only recirculate air without the a/c on.

I had the same thing happen with mine. It would really only work on the vent or defrost. It is the motor that changes the doors from defrost,vent and floor the grease dried out. So I cleaned it up and greased it up and now works like a charm ! The heat dries them out.
I looked for a new one and couldn't find any, just to let you know

sounds like the selector door the actuator hooks to is hangin up and not allowing it to switch heat to the lower dash, or possibly duct tube unhooked, anyone had it apart before??

The are vacuum operated via vacuum motors. Check the vacuum reservoir under the hood first if you have no vacuum.

Have you "burped" the system to get all of the trapped air out?? If you have the 4.7 motor, it helps to slightly elevate the front of the Durango.

Then, leave radiator cap off and start engine. Watch coolant level and open the system vent which is right off of the upper hose connection.

When air ceases to come out of the vent, secure it and top off coolant.

It helps to run the engine rpms up to 2-2.5 k in short bursts to help get the air out.

Make sure to have both front and rear heater systems on full heat during this process.

CHECK FUSE BOX BLOWN FUSE TO POWER OF VENTS.

There is a vacuum leak under the hood. Find the vacuum line on the passenger side where it comes through the firewall and follow it to the engine. You system needs vacuum to operate and without it the default setting is on defrost for safety reasons.

The rear vent system has a separate heater core/blower system. heater core could be plugged up or the coolant lines going to rear heater core are plugged. could also be low coolant/faulty water pump not producing enough pressure, or air in the cooling system which will need to be bled if so.
