See if your running lights/blinkers are flashing. If so the alarm needs reset by closing up car and putting key in tailgate and turning key.

02 taurus speedometer, stock radio, highbeam dash light, a ticking noise and no remote function. What could cause this???

looks like you maybe pulled on the harness and shorted some of the electrical out..sorry to say but you need to start over with everything about the car.. each at one time.. then carefully install the radio..

When I turn my key to start my 2003 Toyota Camry, it makes ticking noise and doesn't start. After a few seconds, the alarm goes off and I have to hit the unlock button on my key chain. What could this...

Low battery warning is built into your alarm. have your battery checked at local parts store such as autozone. The ticking means that you have too low voltage to start vehicle.

2002 Ford Taurus has no power. No head lights no dome light no horn blah blah. Ok first of all my cars alarm kept going off by itself off and on for 2 weeks. I come out to start the car and it goes click...

One possibility is that the battery terminals are either corroded or not tight to the battery posts. Second, the battery itself may have seen its days. Try another battery of simply replace it. If the problem still exists, the have a mechanic inspect the main wiring from the battery to fuse block. Your alarm device may have its own battery source. The tick tick are the cars systems relays trying to engage, but there is not enough power for them to engage.

Is it a ticking or knocking noise? or does it sound like something is leaking could be a bad manifold gasket which would be better than a ticking or knocking.
