I changed the stereo in my 1993 pajero now the dash and parking lights don't work what could this be

To start, a fuse. The radio receives a signal or feed from the interior lights so that it will dim or brighten with the interior and dash lights. during the radio installation it may be that this wire was left off and not insulated, or used as a power lead, etc.

Start by checking your fuses, the interior dash lights and exterior marker lights are on the same fuse, so start by finding a burned fuse, replace it with same size, and then do this: Without turning the key on at all, try your lights and see if they work... if they do not, and the fuse blows immediately, that wire is shorted to ground, either touching a metal part of the inner dash or hard-wired incorrectly to the radio. It may be that it was mistaken as a ground wire during the change-out.

If after replacing the fuse, the lights come on, then turn the radio on and see if it blows. Whether it does nor not, the first place to check is the last place changes were made. If you return to check the wiring to the radio and cannot find the problem, disconnect the radio entirely, turn the lights on with a good fuse in place, then reconnect the wires one by one, keeping an eye on the lights, when they go off (fuse blows), that is the wire that is either mis-assigned or can be left off. Most newer radios are all led and it is not necessary to send a signal to it from the lights. Good Luck!

I have a 2004 GMC Sierra 2500HD and ever since ive had the truck ive had trailer light problems. The problem I have is I dont have running lights and the right side brake and turn signal do not work. I...

Check the plug wiring again on the truck. You have a wire crossed , when you hit the lights and it only blows with the trailer, then there is a crossed wire on the truck. What seems to be happening is your sending power to the ground for the trailer. You can check the trailers ground with an ohm meter, then make sure your truck ground matches that pin. You may know this , but green rght turn, yellow is left turn, brown is parking lights, black is brake lights, and white is ground.

The fog lights on my Mitsubishi diamante won't turn on?

The fuse is probably blown, check the fuse first, then check the bulbs.

I have a 2004 Chevy Malibu. and recently, the interrior lights and Instrument/tail lights fuses keep blowing out. I replace them, and the next day or sometimes within hours they fuses will be blown again....

You are correct, now to find out what circuit is blowing the fuse.If the car was in a accident check that area first.Chances are its interrior or running lights.lets start with interrior lights, install new fuse turn on interrior lights on for 1/2 hour.if fuse blows remove interrior lamp lenses and look for one of the hot wires to be shorted out on the body.To check the tail lights turn off the interrior lights and turn on the running lights. If fuse blows start with any damaged areas, check the trunk area for damage to the wire harness,if you have a trailer hitch chcek the trailer harness for damage.theres no easy fix here, hope I have been some help. Thanks for using FixYa......Ray

NO RUNNING LIGHTS OR INSTRUMENT LIGHTS. BRAKE LIGHTS GOOD,HEADLIGHTS GOOD. ALL FUSES GOOD.ALL LIGHT BULBS GOOD.DON'T SEE ANY WIRING PROBLEMS PHYSICALLY IN WIRE CABLE VISIBLE IN TRUNK. Y.

Most likely a main fuse. More prone to blow in the rain / wet weather. Check your main fuses. They typically are the big square clear ones, visual inspection should show a break like the basic standard fuses. u may have to pull it to see break.

Rear fog light blows fuse

Check the relay for these lights. Might be melted or frayed wires. Also check any existing wires coming to/from the lights. These are usually run in series with something else and could be just a ground/hot wire popping the fuse.

1992 acura integra tail light fuse keeps blowing

it sounds like the wiring is all wrong as if its a bad earth on the car after he wired the fog lights maybe you should check and see if there is any wires hanging down underneath the bonnet that have been stripped back or see if there is and loose wires on the back of your lights or fuse board if you dont find any problems there take out the radio in the car i find that most problems to do with bad wiring or electrical problems in cars is to do with bad wiring on a radio i.e not having been installed proberly. hopes this helps

Fuse blows when I turn on the tail lights.

May be a tough one to isolate, hopefully not a bare wire to lights but very well could be. Personally, I'd try removing all the running light bulbs, then turn them on and start replacing one at a time, to see which one causes fuse to blow. have a real good look for a bared wire at or near connection , or one full off water/moisture.If you have one that looks like water or moisture in it, that's where I'd start.

Blowing dome light and rear wiper fuse.

Sounds like a dead short to me. You will need to find a wiring diagram for this one. Without it, I'd start by unpluging the motor and the light one at a time. Another good place to check is at the rear hatch, where the wiring harness enters the hatch, this is a common area for broken/shorted wires.Check that and let me know, I'll help how I can.
Good luck
