My seat Ibiza s 1.4 cut out in the wet ain't started since iv been told there is no compression wen I'm turning the key its like it ain't catching

I have the same car and had the same problem, it turned out to be a hole in the vaccume pipe that leads to the engine.

If thats not the reason It may be the ignition coil, which is a common fault in seat ibiza's, this would cost around 75.00GBP to fix.

This is a far too common problem on this particular model and normally needs the cluster changing. I delved into the problem myself and found the large green connector and the back of the panel was dry jointed. I resoldered the joints and not had a problem since. I decent auto electrical specialist might be able to check this out for you. Hope that helps

I have same problem with my seat ibiza for the past 6/7 months, spent over £300 on trying to sort it out and got no-where. I think i have now finally sorted it. Try un plugging the lambda sensor from the exhaust just behind the engine. If like mine it works fine but the sensor will have to be replaced. Good luck hope this works for you.

egr valve ,its the valve between the inlet and exhaust manifold ,best advice here is take it off then make a gasket for it from a coca cola can but without the hole in the middle so it blanks the valver off ,This will cure it ,did old cars have this valve??? well they didnt when i was young in the 60s ,

try to unplug the fuse of the radio it will erase the ecm but make sure the car is off ok but wait for 1 minute then put it back or u can buy the module if they are broke.thanks god bless
