into position that it is easy to get out of car, press exit 1 and the
exit position will be in memory. do same procedure for driver 2.

No it wouldn't be a fuse because it's partially still working,LEDs are wired in series so it could be one LED is burnt out or the current limiting resistor has opened for that section.Repairing it would be fairly simple but will require a multimeter preferably with a diode tester and a soldering iron.If you're not familiar with using a multimeter and testing electronic circuits I would say let a professional repair it or replace the whole unit.Comment back and I will give you the test procedures if you fell confident in making the repair.

There is a little piece of metal to the left of the parking brake. Pull this down with one hand and then you will be able to pull thee parking brake up with the other hand.
This year and model does not have this saftey switch.
