Unless there is a problem with the transmission or the oil needs changing you will not replace the filter
it is in the pan and that has to come off to get to it
it doesn't need replacing as it is only a very fine gauze screen and can be washed out
if you do have to get to it then consider adjusting the bands and clutches while the pan is off as well

The transmission is an AOD, the rear differential is either a 7.5" or an 8.8" look at the tag on the rear it should have either 7.5 or 8.8 on it.

In the trunk left side is inertia switch. rap ******* side with fist, causing button to pop up on top, when this happens the fuel pump will no longer receive power. Now try to start vehicle, should attempt to start and die. Fuel system is no de pressurized. PLease be careful as there is still some pressure in system! and remember to reset inertia switch when done by pressing pop up button back to the down position.
