Your best bet would be to trace the lines down and find out where the leak is coming from and replace that part, your power steering lines run from the resivour to the power steering pump, run by a belt, then down the the steering gear rack. there is a supply line, and a return line.

good luck

How do I find a leak in power steering I can't see it from the top.Within 20 minutes fluid is gone.Cant see any leak but puddle on ground.

Did you already checked on the steering rack?
Maybe you need to check from the bottom vehicle also. The leakage commonly occur at the hose joint and sometimes it occur at oil seal on steering rack.

Power steering fluid gushes out when I turn my steering wheel to the left

Where you put the fluid is the pump. The pump will do this if the cap isn't screwed back on. If you were checking fluid level you do this with engine off to give the fluid a chance to settle for a good reading. If I have misunderstood your question please get back to me. GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

My dad put the wrong power steering fluid in our 2005 Nissan Quest. It we filled up to the max line before our 600 mile trip. After driving 600 miles it was at the minimum line. I can't find a leak in

crank the motor to flush out the fluid into a bottle below the vehicle

Replace with the correct fluid

Drain out the fluid again and refill with the right fluid. Run the engine and operate the steering several times, drain it again. Do this about four times, that should get most of the brake fluid out. Put in a bottle of Wynn's steering fix and top up the system and hope that you caught the problem in time. Good luck.

Leaking power steering fluid

Dear Nina; Your best bet is to keep a few bottles of fluid with you for the trip. The reason being, is that the steering system will become very difficult to operate and there is a danger of burning out the power steering pump if it was to run dry for any lenth of time. Thank you, Dana

Low power steering fluid

It should be a bottle amongst the engine block somewhere, usually it's near to the windscreen washer pump and brake fluid pumps. At the front of my engine I have a huge black box with a screw top which is for my power steering, i'd imagine it's fairly easy to find on any engine.
