Since October 2008, I have replace the gas cap twice, the evap vent solenoid, and the fuel filler neck assembly. The lights come back on with in a day or two. The dealership states they are not aware of any of these problems, and there are no recalls.
Looking for some suggestions on what I can do next to get this fixed.
-   I just bought my 06 impala about 6 months ago and I am having the same problem. My light came on first and my display never said t=Tighten Gas Cap.... I went to a dealer, had them read my car and I bought a new gas cap. The light went off for 5 days, came back on and now says tighten gas cap... makes no sense. My remote start quit working too. Thinking maybe it's a fuse or a bad sensor.

I have a 2008 chev impala bought used about 3wks ago and the eng ligth goes on and mssg reads "reduced power" before this happens I can feel a lack of power and hesitation when accelarating, what I've done is turned car off and removed and reinstalled gas cap making sure it is firmly tightend. Acceleration goes back to normal wich is awsome by the way and the eng light goes off after driving if for a day or two. This has happend twice since I bought it and after I have filled up my gas tank in a hurry and don't pay attention how well tighten the gas cap is. This sucks it should not need a new gas cap the car is only 1yr old.

Coolant leaking underneath engine. Can't really tell where it's coming from.I suspect it's a water pump leak. Is this a problem on the 2006 impala with only 50,000 miles. What is the estimate to repair.
