I fixed the blend door actuator on my 2001 Lincoln navigator but my heater is stuck on defrost but blows out hot air

so my guess is want Ac COLD ARE
OR JUST THE MODE ACTUATORS FAILING
there is A manual AC system and Climate controls sys.
the are not the same.
I guess AC wanted,
the blend door stuck open is wrong,
if stuck open thee will be no cold.
the blend door closed and blocks the heater core 100%
if max AC cold is selected.
and recirc mode too is needed
a tiger by the tail, this VACUUM controls monster.
we only can fix them in a shop with a vacuum hand pump with vac gauge, and the service manual to ID hose colors
guessing is not easy here
there are 2 blend doors, left and right to fail.
blend is electric so this 2001 system is hybrid of elect + vac controls
air inlet it vacuum servo.
left and right mode actuator is electric motor drive.
frost defrost is VACUUM servo drive./
the service manual has vacuum logic table matric
showing all vacuum status, V or NV for each mode
and manual system is not like CliaMATE CONTROL

manual controls, I can not publish the whole HVAC chapter here.

vac-ng-undefined-undefined-0.jpg 17= heater core
6,= evapcore (cold)
11 is blower
16 is vac controls. dash
13 is engine vacuum, intake man, 20"hg at idle.

When my son closed the front passenger side door, the window fell down inside the door and we cannot get it back up. Is this the window regulator? Is it something we can fix ourselves?

Window regulator or cable, depending on what you have

You remove the inner door panel to gain access to what
broke

Wether you can fix it, depends on your own skills

Not fun ,but I would never recommend anyone but you
doing it

Not the job repair shops like & in most cases only put
broken parts back on & 4 days later it falls down again

Don't know why they have always done that, rather the just
fixing it the first time

2005 Kia Amanti; heater on driver side blowing cold air, passenger side blowing hot air. Checked all fuses. antifreeze ok. no leaks anywhere I can see. Are there two thermostats? Stumped.

For those of you who may google this link and are looking for an solution, my local repair shop isolated my 2005 Amanti problem to a $2.78 plastic clip on the temperature blend door actuator rod linkage. It simply fatigued and eventually broke resulting in the actuator rod falling off the actuator door lever. The labor to isolate the problem and to replace the clip did amount to almost $170. Hope this helps those of you in the future.

Our 2000 VW Jetta front left window just fell into the door. We took the door off and can see that a piece broke. We can get the door regulator but how do we fix it? We can't afford the $500.00 the service...

In the cold weather with the window slightly frozen I had a similar problem in my 2002 Jetta. The glass stuck at first and then fell into the door. Luckily nothing was broken with the glass, so after taking off the door panel I was able to raise the regulator half way then slide the window back into the bracket. I tightened the bolt on the bracket for good measure and haven't had a problem since.

Driver window fell inside door

Their is no regulator problem here. The motor is fine.

What broke was a piece of plastic the locks the cable on the track.

Pretty much screwed. VW or an auto glass company wont help.

I have replaced all of my Passats window mechanisms.
I have even remade the piece that broke and saved my self $100.

All in all the panel is removed, THen the inner plates 12 bolts are removed. The window has to be taken out....

Not too much fun,....

Hope this helps.

How do you fix a power window

It sounds like the window fell off its track, or the scissor lift mechanism lost a screw. You will need to take your door panel off to determine the exact cause. Check to see if the glass broke and let me know. Often times you can fix your problem with a new nut and bolt for about 50 cents, or you may just need to re-seat your window. If you are not comfortable taking your door panel off, I would recommend bringing it to a mechanic, but expect a bill around $100 for a simple fix.

My driver's side window will now roll up how do I fix it?

you'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. Then pull back the weather seal (can't reuse it, but it's not that important) and you will be able to access everything.Sounds like the linkages, or the gears of the regulator are done

INSIDE DOOR PANNEL

I am sure that you fixed this by now but for other that might see it you maybe able to grab the window and pull it up into place and use some type of masking tape to hold it there until you get it into a auto glass shop to have it repaired.

If you are fixing yourself because of the freezing temps you likely broke the two clips on the back edge of the glass that hold it into the track.

Left rear window stuck down. Hear motor working but doesn't lift the window.

For a Temp fix take it to a local glass tint shop and ask them to wire it up for you so people cant steal it. But the cable broke or the metal clamp that attaches to the bottom of the glass came off (if thats the case get some plumers goup or any other glue that stays flexible when it drys and try glueing it back to the bottom of the glass) I have a 97 Lincoln Presidental TC that happen to both my rear windows and I was able to glue the assimbaly back together for a quick fix, good luck
