How to install Tranny to flex plate and line up bolts

It should be pretty basic, install the flex plate to the crankshaft make sure you have the correct flex plate bolts then ensure the torque converter is full, now look at the block there should be a rubber or foam plug covering a hole you will use to install bolts and tighten the torque converter you might have to remove the starter as well, hopefully your using a tranny jack if not, secure the converter to the bell-housing with a piece of wire flexible enough to be able for you to pull it out once the transmission almost in now lift the transmission/bell housing up and in remove wire install several transmission bolts now use a pick to line up the torque converter/flex plate bolts then the transmission bolts and reconnect everything else.
I hope this helps. Take Care.

Installation on a flex plate and torque converter on a 2006 nissan altima 2.5 automatic transmission

If the transmission is out of the car, the flex plate is bolted to the engine's crankshaft and torqued/locked as necessary. Then you install the transmission, MAKING SURE that the torque converter is fully seated into the front pump, and doesn't move while mounting the transmission. Once the transmission is installed, the flex plate is bolted to the torque converter through the opening between the engine and the transmission designed for this purpose. Rotate the engine as necessary to gain access to each of the bolts holding the torque converter to the flex plate.

I have a 1991 chevy G20 . There is a vibration coming from the torque converter

remove the cover and check for failing flex plate or missing mounting bolts for the torque converter
as the torque converter is fluid filled and obeys the laws of balance in fluids, it indicates an out side dynamic balance problem from a cracked flex plate

How do i remove flywheel away from torque

it is not a flywheel but a flexi plate
there will be 3 or 4 bolts facing back from the block going through the plate into nuts in the front of the torque converter
you will probably only get to one at a time and as you remove a bolt you will have to turn the flex plate until the next one comes into position

How to remove the Torque converter from the motor crankshaft of Kia Carnival. The engine is already out c/w the transaxle gearbox, and has been separated. How to remove the torque converter?

look for 4 bolts coming in from the engine side of the flex plate back into the torque converter housing. Once these out out you may have to use a pry bar to get the torque converter out of the spigot in the end of the crankshaft

1990 7.3 idi auto non turbo fly wheel removal a replacement

An automatic doesn't have a flywheel, it has a flex plate instead. The torque converter makes it act a lot like a flywheel, though.

But... you're probably talking about the flex plate or the ring gear around its edge. This is going to require removing the engine from the vehicle - there's no other possible way to get the flex plate out.

Once the engine is sitting on the shop floor, it's a simple job to replace the flex plate - first you unbolt the torque converter and set it aside, then you unbolt the flex plate from the crankshaft. Bolt the new flex plate onto the crankshaft, bolt the torque converter to the new flex plate, and put the engine back into the vehicle.

Its an 02 how do i check the torque convertor or flex plate bolts to see if that is were my noise is coming from

The inspection cover is usually plastic, it is bolted to the under-side of the bell-housing and it is held in place usually by 4 small bolts, and once you remove them the inspection cover should come out. (you might also have to remove the starter on some applications)

After you have removed the inspection cover most of the flex-plate and the torque converter will be exposed. Turn the engine over and use a good light to inspect for damage to the flex-plate, and also check to see if the torque converter to flex-plate bolts are tight when they revolve into a position where you can attach a good ratchet.
