Hello, It's been a long time since I have adjusted a Quadra Jet. Start the engine and bring it up to running temperature. Make sure the choke is fully off. At idle , turn the right hand idle mixture screw in until you hear or feel the engine start to miss. Back out the idle mixture screw 1/4 turn. Repeat procedure for the left hand idle mixture screw. Adjust idle speed screw to 800 RPM for auto trans in gear or 700 rpm manual trans in neutral.

Sounds like your float is stuck and your needle will not come off of the seat. You need to find someone that is capable of rebuilding your carburetor or replace it.

Windshield fuild is coming out 50% on the drivers side, and nothing on the passenger side of vehicle.

Check the jets are not blocked usually you can see if there is muck in them. Lift your hood and locate the tubes going up to the jets you might have to pull the tubes and clean the jet from the underside. Once cleaned, use a pin that is small enough to go in the jet hole and adjust the direction of the water by moving the pin up or down so that the jet hits the middle line of the screen.
Use a good screenwash mixture.

It is not compensating for the lean mixture from the lack of acceleration. Jets might be blocked or misaligned in carberator.

Just tighten the rocker arm bolts to 24 ft lbs. There is no adjustment, as there used to be on , for instance a chevy small block 350 cid.( thank God! this is easy!)

I changed my spark plug wires and screwed up the firing orber it is a 350 chevy 8 cyl 1978 big block can u help please the engin is in my jet boat I am leaving for the river thrus morning

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 Distributor rotates clockwise vehicle , #1 cyl is on left side of engine

I have a dual carb manifold setup with the number

You can tell by the intake ports. If there's 2 close in the middle then it's for a small block chevy. If they're evenly spaced then more than likely it's for a big block.
