While going down highway (at) 70 mph, why did car just turn off?

Was low of oil. Do these cars have a ciser shut down system that protects the motor?

Low oil would not show up on the engine computer, but low oil pressure would. If the oil light did not come on before the engine stopped, its possible you toasted the engine.

I have a 1999 dodge ceruis. I quit running going down the highway at 70 mph. It was very low of oil. Do the have a ciser shut down system

You are fortunate that the engine still cranks. If it overheated when it shut down it is possible that some of the electrical components may have been burned out.

And if you did permanent damage it is possible that now the engine is not cranking fast enough to start.

Good luck.

I hear a low roar when I het 60-70 mph on highway.

This may be tire noise if you are using an off road tread. it may also be that your transmission is not going into overdrive causing your rpm's to be increased.

It has been doing great but one day last week I drove it down the road and at 30mpg it started shuddering, it stopped at 35 and does great at highway speeds?? Help me please!!! Jan

If it's automatic it may not be selecting lower gear at lower revs.
other possibility is the engine management light is coming on.this is a yellow car icon on the sash.if this does come on then the car automatically goes into limp mode where it can't go faster than 30 mph to protect the engine.all sorts of reasons for it doing this low oil ....low oil pressure ....low brake fluid etc.get it to a garage and let then check ecu for any fault codes.but it does sound transmission related whereby the gears are fine when the revs are up but once you ease off accelerator it dies suggesting gears not dropping to lower gear or vacuum leak.

1992 olds cutlass supreme wont accelerate when pushing the gas pedal

Check oil first, Low oil sensor will shut down if more than a quart low. Change fuel filter, could be fuel starvation, change the air filter. stopped up air filter will put MAF sensor out of range. PERFORM OBDII SCAN SOON.

When i drive in the highway with the a/c the oil temp. come up and water temp go hi

Running at highway speed with A/C on will stress your vehicle's cooling systems as no other
combination of circumstances - so check/top up your motor oil, and check/top up your
coolant - and keep your coolant expansion/recovery tank up to the "MAX" line.
in terms of coolant mixtures, 50/50 is traditional, but the maximum coolant mixture acceptable
in a typical cooling system is actually 70% coolant to 30% (filtered/distilled) water.
With you vehicle, and your usage, you could consider
changing from the traditional 50/50 pre-mix to a 60/40 or a 70/30 ratio.
Your vehicle seems to functioning normally. Happy motoring.

A fairly consistent tapping noise from the top of the engine between 50 - 70 mph. After 70-75 mph in seems to quiet down.

sounds like a lifter is bleeding out or starving for oil at low revs
check oil level and oil pressure
if thats good lifter or tappet clearance next to check
is engine seviced regularly?
slugde build up can cause problems also
if V6 petrol see a lot of worn valve guides causing noise worse when warm and noise comes in and out at 1200RPM
tappet clearance issue noise would be there all the time
lifter can also come and go while holding revs up

Turn the ignition on and motor will not turn over.

If battery has power, check if other things work or not. If you mean "won't turn over" does starter relay Click? If there is only silence its a different problem. Check the oil level, some cars will kill the ignition at any speed for low oil level. The timing belt would not stop the engine from cranking. Starter relays usually aren't fused. Check battery cables.

2002 chrysler concorde lx low idle

with a 2002 Concord 3.5 V-6, what should the rpm be at 60mph? 70 mph?

I'm not sure if the overdrive gear is lost in the tranny, but the transmission light is on.

Thanks
