Our 2002 did the same thing. Easy cheap fix! Pull the wheel off and check the wiring that goes to the wheel sensor. You will find after removing a few inches of wrap, a broken wire or two. This could be on either wheel, so check both. Fix the wires back up and you are good to go. Hope this helps!

No, there is not a fuse for this. Unfortunately, you have a bad sending unit. In order to replace the sending unit you have to drop the gas tank. Sooo............drive it more to get rid of all of that gas and it will be easier to put back up.

Turns out this is a common problem for the Rendezvous.
I took it to a mechanic and after he tested to see if all the speed sensors were working with his handheld computer reader, (because there is no speedometer cable anymore) He reset the needle by turning the key about 25 times as far as possible without starting the vehicle. The speedometer needle came back a bit each key turn till it reached zero. It's been working fine since.

Check the radiator cap first, pressure test the cooling system next,, see where the leak is if you have one,, check the electronic fan switch and relay,, ,,, after that it would be the thermostat, check to see if the upper radiator hose gets hot before it overheats,, if not the thermostat may be stuck shut,,, good luck, and of course be careful if a hose blows or cap is bad you can get scalded by the hot water ,, it can be over 220 * f
