Car won't start after rear-end collision

I have the same problem! I got rear-ended Wednesday and it drove fine. We went Saturday to get an estimate for the damage, which came out to about $3000. On our way home we stopped for lunch and when we left the car wouldn't start! We were able to jump it and get it home, so the next morning we went out and to get a new battery and now it still won't start!

Sounds like electrical drain-
Trunk light on, dome light staying on.
Something along that line.
You could try pulling the associated fuses until you get the car in for repairs.

There is short somewhere draining the battery until you or a mechanic can locate and repair the short disconnect the battery when car sits or it will drain the battery and at worst you could have a electrical fire this problem needs to be adressed immediately.

Water in rear passenger footwells

I have had water intermittently in the right rear trunk area (below the battery) every since an rear end accident. The dealer tells me that there is a vent back there that gets clogged up or opened up and lets water get in there. Not sure that I believe that, but that's the best explanation that they could give me.

My brand new expedition 2013 ford won't start

Take it back to the dealer. It should be under warranty. Also have them check all of the recalls if any.

I drove the car saturday and all was fine. Got in it monday and it won't start. It turns overs and tries to fire but won't. It has gas, a charged battery. What am I missing. I just bought this...

I've had trouble like that with my car before. Check the starter. A lot of times the starter can have the same symptoms as a battery. Hope this helps!

Steering wheel violently shakes.

that is usually caused by bad engine mount this condition usually changes the distance of the cv joint and the differential which cause the cv joint to shake. also check your ball joints.

Have a dodge 2000 ram van 3500 extended body. i have to replace the transmission and the rear which i believe killed the transmission. i need an estimate on the rebuild of the rear transaxle . i already...

Personally I've not heard too much about any problems with the rear ends in those being problematic, so I am curious why it went. Was it lack of fluid or was it damaged or abused by any chance? Regardless, if it were me, I'd call around local recycle yards & see if I could get one complete with low mileage, then it's a bolt off, bolt on deal.

Back rear wheels under the frame part

first, STOP DRIVING IT!!! it sounds like your rear differential.

Best case scenario, it has a leak on the gasket and that is why you saw the oil spill. If that's the case it is a pretty simple fix: buy a new gasket and refill.

Worst case scenario, the leak has damaged your gears. You will be able to tell this when you take off the cover, if there are a lot of metal shavings you may be in for a costly repair.

I can't emphasize enough tho, DO NOT DRIVE IT right now. not until you find out. if you havent hurt anything, you may be alright, but if you drive it you WILL be in for some trouble

All rear lights went out, brake lights work

Might be the multifunction switch on the steering column. Also called a combination switch.
