Problem for Peugeot 2006 505

Car CD player won't load Cd's - Peugeot 306

Hi,
The CD player (factory - Peugeot branded) in my 2000 (phase 3) Peugeot 306 won't load CD's. You have to physically push to CD all the way into the slot (where a working CD player would mechanically pull the CD in most of the way by itself), and then nothing happens. But when you push the eject button the CD will come out. Any ideas? Is the CD player dead?

Yeah, the sensor that detects the presence of the disc is knackered - probably broken off. The eject will always eject the disc. Just press the button with no disc and you will hear it try. Look at ebay for a replacement - theyre dirt cheap!
