1995 nissan maxima won't start sometimes

At random my car won't start. When you turn the key over there's nothing no lights on the dash just completely daed. When you put jumper cables on it starts right up. I had my battery, starter and alternator checked. All were ok.

Check the battery cables for corrosion by peeling back the insulation a few inches. Probably all green or white dust. replace the cables

"Warning Lights" on the dashboard of "1995 Nissan Maxima"

The warning lights coming on with the key in the on position is normal. If the key is turned to the start position and the engine will not crank over, suspect an internal starter motor problem or lack of power to the starter solenoid. You can try tapping on the starter motor with a blunt object while someone holds the key in the crank position to see if it starts when this problem occurs. If it starts using this procedure, the starter motor will be defective

Randomly won't start or even turn over, sometimes start fine. bouncing gauges

Yes it could be the key switch. You would need to check for power at the starter when it fails to crank. There is also a neutral safety switch in the circuit.

1995maxima wont start when you turn key sometimes nothing lights up on dash

First, check the wire connections from the battery to the fuse panel of your car, then from the fuse panel to the starter. If the wires all check out okay, then I suggest having your battery tested by a professional. Make sure the steering column is wired correctly as well.

Id say fuel pump pressure. That would be the first thing I would check.

1995 Nissan Difficult to start in hot weather.

the reason it's starting after a few turns of the key is because when you're the ignition position, you're priming the engine to start. By priming it repeatedly, you're making it easier on the starter to catch when you finally try to turn the engine. I would first check the spark plugs and electrical wiring.

My 1995 Nissan maxima Gle won't start. Everything lights up when I turn the key. What's wrong with it?

Does it even try to turn over, as in engine cranking? Tried a boost, if yes what happened?

Engine cranking but no start

If your key is not programmed for the car, then it will have this issue. I bought a 99 Maxima 3 weeks ago. One of the keys was programmed and worked perfectly. The other would turn the car over and stop it immediately. If you do this too many times without the key being programmed from the dealer or another source, it will erase all keys that are programmed and lock down the ignition.
