SOURCE: 2005 chevy cobalt engine rotates but wont start

if you are used to hearing the fuel pump but cannpt hear it anymore, it's probably a fuse or the pump. Pump replacement is expensive, so always make sure the pump is getting voltage before replacing.

if im correct there should be a red wire on the drivers side of the firewall not connected to anything. take a jumper wire to the positive side of the batt. and connect it to the red wire. if you can hear the fuel pump, there is a short somewhere. it could be as simple as the inertia switch or emergency shut-off switch. check the fuel pump relay too

SOURCE: wanted to no if there

GM does not have a reset button to reset the fuel system. The only manufacturer that I am aware of that does this is Ford. If the pump doesn't work than the first thing I would do is check for power at the pump. There should be two gray wires at the connector. The bigger one is power to the pump. If there is no power than check fuse and relays.

SOURCE: where is the fuel pump

It is located in the fuel tank. The fuel tank will need to be removed from the vehicle in order to replace the pump.

05 Chevy cobalt have no power to fuse block for fuel pump

You have no voltage at 15 amp fuel pump fuse in the under hood fuse/relay center ? There is a fuel pump relay also in same under hood fuse box. The fuel pump fuse gets power from the fuel pump relay. The ( PCM ) engine computer controls that relay, gives power or ground electronically to turn the relay on giving power to the fuel pump through the fuel pump fuse. You could have a bad relay or an anti-theft system problem . What engine does you vehicle have 2.0 L or 2.2 L the 2.0 L engine gets power differently to fuel pump .

How to fix code po455 on 2005 cobalt

I researched this and found the following information. Hope it helps: P0455 means a gross leak detected in the Evaporative Emissions System. Some call this a "gas cap" code, because the most common cause a loose or failed gas cap. But it could be caused by any vapor leak in the fuel tank, filler neck, or anywhere else in the vapor management system. If it isn't a gas cap, you will need tol take it someplace where they have a smoke machine that can find the leak using smoke.
