This engine is not known as a inteverence.that means that you have 90% chance that the valves will not be bend, depends on the speed that you were traveling.a simple test can be carried out.remove spark plugs.turn each cylinder indevidualy on compression.blow air in to the cylinder and listen to the sound.should the sound differ the valves can be bent.this exercise should be carried out after new belt is fitted

If the timing belt on a 94 toyota camry broke, would it bend the valves in the head 4cyclinder

The pistons will hit the valves on a lot of cars, but you should ask your Toyota dealer service dept for sure.
Hope this helps.

Need diagram, of cam timing! and are thay a zero spin motor( is it posabull to bend the valves if cam timeing was wrong?)

the 97 Mitsubishi 3.5 v-6 engine is an interference engine, so if the belt broke while running it has damaged valves.

In 97 ford festiv 1.3engine single cam if timeing belt slips posible of valve bent or its free wheel engine plesae inform me

If your timing belt slips (most likely broke) yes it can break/bend valves. You won't be able to determine extent of damage until to tear it apart. When belt breaks, yes they they "free spin"

1988 daewoo leganza broke a cam shaft belt , would this have caused the valves to be damaged , or do they miss getting hit by trhe pistons ?

Yes you are correct when the timing belt breaks most of the time the valves will be damaged on overhead cam engines. I dont believe its possable for the pistons to hit the valves though. The valves get bent because the cam stops turning but the crank does not. The pressure is what bends them. Hope this helps:)

Toyota Caldina cambelt broke. Valve damage?

Sorry to say there is most likely quite expensive damage to the valve train and pistons. A new cam belt can be installed and the motor rotated to see if it is turning freely after which you would do a compression check (lack of compression will indicate bent or broken valves). I've never seen a diesel break a belt and avoid damage, virtually always a catastrophic failure.

What is the recommended mileage for changing a timing belt on 2006 Forerunner with a V6 engine?

on any auto about 50,000 miles is average it's cheaper to replace the belt then an engine. when the belt breaks most engines will bend the valves and toyotas are good for that

1992 toyota celica 2.2 timing belt broke.i turned the crank 360 degrees after compression stroke.cam gear timing marks are lined up.exhaust cam is getting ready to open ex. valve and rotor is pointing at...

well hold on there cowboy, first consult your service manual if your cars engine is an interference type. it means that if ever your timing belt breaks the valves that were stranded shall be hammered by up moving piston. eventually bending and warping of some of the valves would be a result. sometimes a damaged piston could also happen. timing belt breakage is a very serious matter and should not be taken likely. if you do not have a manual, what i do is removing the whole cyclinder head and inspect it. its better to be sure than sorry. in other cases you could see the warped valves by turning the crankshaft from tdc to 90 deg. and after which try turning the camshaft all the way around and carefully feeling the ease or difficulty in turning it and also the lift and rest of the rocker arms. any deviations you from the standard filler guage clearances would mean a bent or broken valves. hope this helps.
