Yes, start with the thermostat.
Follow the top radiator hose, it will be connected to the thermostat housing. The thermostat is behind that. Drain the coolant out of the radiator before removing it.

Probably an obvious question, but did you check your antifreeze level? If it's good, change the thermostat. If still having issues, your water pump may need to be replaced or radiator cores plugged

Nissan pathfinder overheating


Could be a list of things.
Thermostat could be sticking, radiator fan may not be pulling enough air thru the radiator, problem with the exhaust system, and so on.
It depends on when it happens and the conditions.

WHERE IS THE FUEL FILTER LOCATED ON A 93 PATHFINDER


The fuel filter is located on the left side of the engine compartment. It is pretty big and hard to miss.

I have a 2001 pathfinder with a overheating condition it has a 3.5liter engine. the rad has been changed i removed the sparkplugs and put air in the clinders no leak present no external leaks what else...


Could be a couple of things...radiator fan...fan clutch, water pump, thermostat...those are just a few....maybe even the relay/fuse for the fan.

This will get you started though.
