If the noise is coming from the front of your truck, chance are its your front wheel bearings. at o'riely's they are i think 129 a piece. it includes the bearings, and hub. its not hard to do and takes about two hours. also make note whether your truck has rear or front anti-lock brakes

Is the sound from the front or rear of the vehicle, can you tell? If front, check the fan clutch, etc. Can you "Feel" the noise in the steering wheel, or seat maybe, when you're driving?
Need more details- Thanks!

Whats making my 1999 mercury sable make a loud roaring sound while driving? and sometimes it stalls when stopping or slowing down.

Used tires sometimes are used for a reason. Also make sure your brakes are releasing completely (especially the emergency brake)...sometimes over-tightening wheels on to the disc brakes can cause excessive noise.

When i put it drive and start to roll it is making a roaring sound either from the transmissoin or the rear end

hmm it could be a bad rear differential. i dont think it has anything to do with your transmission because when they go bad they dont make a roaring sound. they just either shift hard or make a grinding noise. it could also be your power steering pump, they make a roaring sound too. well i hope this helps you :)

Roaring sound when driving

Needs a wheel bearing, or the differential rebuilt. most likely the diff, but could be bearing.
