You did'nt mention if the leak is oil or coolant. If it's oil, the front seal needs to be replaced (check manual to see if it comes out from outside or if cover needs to be removed) If coolant, most likely its your water pump.

Certainly sounds like a water pump which is pulley driven /front of engine.

05 malibu leaking oil from rear of engine

This may be from excessive pressure in the sump from blow-by from the compression process . It is from a blocked PCV valve that is not equalising that pressure. I have also known oil leaks to happen because the rear main bearing cap is leaking oil past the join around the bolts (loose) or no sealing compound used in assembling the rear main bearing.. I would look at the PCV valve as it is the cheapest test first.. Check that the oil is not coming from the front gear box seal or torque converter seal.

1998 malibu shreding belts

Before installing a new belt spin all pulleys by hand. They should spin amoothly and freely. Check alternator, idler, tensioner, power steering and A/C. If any are hard, rough, or seized replace. Check that the belt aligns correctly with all pulleys and remove any debris embedded in the grooves.

When the ac is off on malibu 1998 it make loud noise someone told me it is the compressor or it is the clutch? i can see metal powder around the compressor clutch

They are correct, it is the compressor. It is possible it is the clutch or it could be coming from a bearing and will most likely have to be replaced. If it only does it when it is off then it is most likely the clutch.

97 chevy 1500 coolant leak

It is the water pump most likely, they have ,what they call a weep hole in the bottom under the pulley,so they will leak out to let you know to change them right away.If it is on the top coming from the intake area,it would be the intake, they are also bad to leak, but look at the pump, under the pulley.

1998 olds Aurora i have an oil leak, is it common

There are common places, you'll just have to look around to see where the leak is:
Around the oil filter and the housing
Around the oil pan and the pan gasket
The oil seal behind the damper pulley
Valve cover gaskets
These are the most common places, leaks can spring up anywhere.

I have a coolant leak coming from the front of the engine. looks like it is leaking around the cam shaft pulley. The vehicle is a 2001 Nissan Frontier v6

Sounds like either the water pump or the thermostat housing. The water pump has a small hole in the bottom where the shaft comes through, when the water pump gets worn it will leak here so you know to replace the pump. The thermostat housing will be at the motor end of the upper radiator hose where it attaches to the motor. Hope this helps.
