your rear brakes are shot as they are the tightest
the fronts should grab hard when you press very hard
if they are mushy you need brakes bad
you should fell very comfortable that you have great brakes.
when you press the pedal it should feel strong after 1inch of play
mush means your gonna die or kills someone.
have your brakes bled as a service this will allow them to test them for you at same time . thats the limit you can adjust brakes.
if you have original pads fitted,they have wear sensors inbuilt so that you will get a warning light on the dash display.if not,when they get down to 1/8th inch thick......
your local toyota dealer should take no more than 1/2 hour to reprogram all remotes and keys to match...(the computer only allows 30 mins before the whole sequence has to be redone...)
