My car has been running with only 9 km per liter, what could be the problem? The odor at the exhaust is very bad, it smells like an unburned gasoline.

Your engine is running with a very rich mixture .. this should have triggered a fault code (check engine light) .. many auto parts stores can read the code to see what is wrong (often free) .. you could have a bad oxygen sensor .. running this rich will damage the expensive catalytic converter .. it can also make it get really really hot ... not a good idea to drive this at all until its fixed .. there are often two oxygen sensors .. one early in the exhaust system and one later .. the diagnostics should tell you which one is bad .. sometimes they are really easy to change .. right out in the open .. others like my 96 caravan are almost impossible to get to .,.. the oxygen sensor is usually less than $100 +labor but if you drive it very far in that condition then it could cost 10 times that ...

O2 sensors shot. Air Injection System Throttle Body assembly. Also make sure your plugs and wires are 100% and your air intake system is clean.

I have Audi A6 gasoline 2.4 liter motor. The fuel consumption is too much. I hope you can give me the solution for this problem.

Likely, it could be the O2 sensor, stuck or debris in an injector, or weak spark. Fuel pressure tests will point you in the right direction

I smell gas

Sound like it could be quite a few things. Off the top of my head I would check that the car is firing on all cylinders. If one has gone down you will have fuel travelling along the exhaust pipe, which could explain the smell. If you have lost a cylinder it will be as rough as a badgers B*M, and you will get rubbish mpg. Check if you can smell fuel from the exhaust pipe (Not while the car is running I don't want you to get carbon monoxide poisoning), just give it a quick start and a few revs first. If it is or anyway If you take the plugs out one at a time look at them to see if they are wet and smell of fuel, (After a quick start and a rev). Check your air filter as well you could even take it out and see how it runs (Not for long just a quick blast) see how you go with that.
Good Luck

Repair ecm

why start with the most expensive part that is never bad.?
I5 engine. 4 cylinders. high MPG or high liters/100km

instead, why not check:
  1. CEL lamp glows running? oops. PCM is unhappy.
  2. no matter scan it. scan it with a obd2 scan tool (USA CAR?)
  3. first make sure the engine thermostat reaches 180F. more.
  4. then see if EFI holds closed loop mode, status at hot idle.
  5. If not we fix that 1st.
  6. Then we drive. and make sure at light flat cruise, closed loop holes. if not we fix that.
not guessing, just statistics.
1: fuel pressure i too high, , fuel reg stuck.
2: leaking injectors.
3: ECU stuck in limp home mode, and sucking fuel and has bad sensors.
4: exhaust pipe newer front oxygen sensor cracked, (sucks fuel now)
no cracks allows, or a bad oxy sensor here.
bank1 sensor 1 , replace at 100k miles for best L/km.
5: thermostat bad. runs cold .
6: FAILED to to the 100km tune up. bad. deal there.

there are simple tests in each case.
ask.

Runs ******

if it smells like raw, unburned fuel, you may have an injector stuck open. i assume it clears up and drive good after a short warm up. there will be evidence of which cylinder has the bad injector by pulling out the spark plugs. the affected cylinder will be washed clean and smell like unburned fuel. the plug may also be "wet black" and of course smell like raw fuel.

Light black smoke and strong itching gas odor at the exhaust, the engine stops at not soo minimal revolution.gas consumption at about more than 16 km a liter of gas for this 3 cylinder 6 valves car

you need to change the oxygen sensor located on the exhaust it looks like a spark plug with a long wire on it your computer is getting a faulty reading hope this helps good luck

My kia spectra engine light is flashing and when i start car smoke comes out while spitting out gas out back pipe of my care, what does this mean

Are you very sure its spitting out gas? If smoke is light in color, you have a blown head gasket-coolant level will drop and you can smell the odor of coolant in the air. If you're sure you have unburned fuel spitting out your exhaust, this is extremely dangerous to everyone around you so don't run it and get it to a shop or reply back to me...

It uses too much fuel. 2,6 liter per 10 km.

You need to replace the sensors,,Throttle PositioningSensor, OXYGEN sensors, Mass Air Flow. after which your truck will run nicer and use less fuel.

You have oil leaks getting on the exhaust system, they are getting into the car, have the car checked over to find source of leaks.
