Hi Candy, well these days garage prices per hour are between 60 and 90 pounds,and your car will at least take 3 to 5 hours work plus the clutch unit,

2001 Volvo s60 D5 very difficult to shift gear

if you have a hydraulically assisted clutch, check the reservoir. it's located on the firewall in the vicinity of the brake vacuum booster. if it's low/empty, fill it. you may have air in the system which will require bleeding. what is the mileage? you may be due for a clutch. if you google, "hard shifting manual trans" you will gain more insight on the matter.

Location of brake/clutch bleed valve nipple

AHH look for it by the slave cylinder it might have a black rubber cap on it to keep dust out it will look simliar to the bleeder valve on the brake system

you can only get it at the dealer because of the chip that is implanted in it,new key has to be programmed only by the dealer cost about 150.00
