The transmission oil has no service interval as far as I know but the fluid allegedly goes out of specification at an average of 100,000 miles, giving the gearbox a probable 150,000 to 200,000 mile life if you are lucky. If, however, you change the synthetic fluid every 80,000 miles or so, you will significantly extend the service life of the box. This is standard practice and proven with local taxi drivers who expect their cars to exceed 300,000 miles with reasonable reliability.

Does a 2011 caddyTDi250 1.6 ltr need the gearbox oil changed when the vehicle has its regular service?its 5 speed manual gearbox, and is there a filter to be changed?

No but check with the dealer or your service/owner manual for the manufacturer recommended gearbox oil change periods.
There is no filter on the manual gearbox .
Whatever the manufacturer recommended period is for a gearbox oil change, change the gearbox oil twice as frequently as recommended to maintain it in good condition. If, for example, a change every 50000 miles is stipulated then do it every 25000 or so.

What is the correct oil for a 2004 Merceedes C200K differential? The manual says "refer to Mercedees Dealer" The Merc dealer will not disclose the oil to me, preferring they do the oil top up/change.

go to an auto spares shop and read the oil spec catalogue for your vehicle. Go to a fuel depot and ask them for the recommended oil specs. Read a owners hand book or go on line and type in recommended oil for merc diff c200K. Generally if it is an ordinary diff the an OEP 80/90 oil be ok and if it is a LSD diff then an OEP LSD oil will be ok. I am suspicious of a dealer that will not say what can be found out as general knowledge as they may be using any old oil but loading up the price claiming to be a special merc oil. I have found in business that to be helpful to people generally creates the opportunity to foster a business relationship and after all that is how I keep repeat customers.

Possibly need your bands tighten and the oil/filter changed. See a specialist automatic transmission guy. Most mechanics won't even attempt it

Kia sephia 1993 when i should to change oil of the motor

Manufacturers vary on intervals recommended. However, the old rule is the best rule....change your oil and filter every 3,000-4,000 miles. If using synthetic (common ones available in stores) that interval can be extended to 4,000 to 5,000. More exotic synthetics (such as Amsoil, using their filter) run to 5,000 miles and replace filter and oil lost during filter change. Replace all oil at 10,000. Actually a good deal even though the oil runs about $10.00 per quart.

I recently bought a merc 230e w123 and what I would like to know is where I fill the gearbox oil and is it advisable to use th ATF oil and secondly it is an automatic transmission and goes on high rave...

this car has no seperate filler as you fill it by pouring the atf down the dipstick tube,(really).because of the age of this car it is advisable to get the filters renewed/oil flushed and refilled.automatics should have the oil/filters changed about 100k/10 years.
