Question about 2002 Mercedes-Benz C-Class

1 Answer

Constantly flashing Hazard lights

I have a mercedes cl500 on a 2001 plate. a new problem has occured only this morning and we have tried everything the book says.

When the car is locked either with the door lock ( press button) alarm fob ( press button) or using the keyless entry/go system the hazard lights flash really quickly. They shut off for about 30 seconds and then start again. But the alarm is strangley quiet.

Any ideas?

Mercedes a class 140 1999. Rear passenger door won't close or lock also turning ignition on hazard warning lights are flashing

Might be the harnes that is fixed to the boot lid hinge .Take a look at the cable running up inside it if its broken or damaged .Or the location of the wires, that go from the door to the body they are in a type of rubber concertina on most doors.

Hi, I just got a series 3 1996 BMW. The alarm is constantly on and when we disabled it the hazard lights flash continuously. Any idea how to sort this?

There is a short in the connections so the hazard lights are flashing. The hazard flashers may begin flashing by themselves or the turn signals may flash at twice the normal speed due to condensation shorting out the circuit board. --------- Have you tried disconnecting the car battery, then turning the ignition on and reconnecting the battery? If not then please try this and check. And see if that makes any difference in the problem or solves the problem.--------- Also you can try disabling the hazards from flashing. To stop the hazards flashing pull the hazard switch out (pull the gear leaver gaiter out then you can put your fingers under the switch and push it out) then you will see a single wire in a black sleeving, cut this wire and this will stop them flashing. Also the alarm is behind the glove-box if you want to unplug it there. ----------- Keep updated for anymore query.Thanks.

Hazard light and interior lights problem on 2001 A3

the indicator lights flashing constantly might be a warning from the car that all the doors have not been closed properly

after writing this ^^ i think that the system that tells the car if the door is open or closed it damaged or broken
and needs replacing

try leaving all the doors open and lock the car do the indicator lights flash contantly?

you need to get a dianostics done but due to the reson that it is intermmitant the problem will not exist when you get to the garage

check all the sensors that tell the car if the door is open firstly

Hazard and turn signal

Under the dash is a flasher unit. Replace it and everything should start working again. The flasher unit is very inexpensive and available at most parts stores.
