How to get into my locked 91Buick regal using a slim jim

Another idea: get a stiff wire- coat hanger works good- and a flat blade screwdriver. Best place I've found is top front of door, right where the door bends down. Stick the screwdriver in there and pry out just enough to slip the wire past the door. You need a 90 degree bend in the wire at the end, so just an inch or less sticks out from the bend. Fish it on down to the lock, get the wire under the lock tab and pull up. Once you get the wire near the lock tab, you can bend the wire as appropriate to get it under the lock. It was easy on my '92 LeSabre last summer.

Left headlight replaced but still not working, swapped with right bulb so bulb is good

If you checked for power inside the socket(power and ground) the bend the tabs in the socket to touch the bulb wires. They get hot and bend. pull them out a bit.

Dash lights don't work. Check fuse and its ok. The head light switch is alittle loose and every now and then when I turn on head lights the dash lights flicker then go out??? Can you help

Hi, the bezel pulls straight off the dash. Then it's easy to see the back of the switch. Check the connector to see if maybe the fit is loose. Sometimes you can get a better connection by bending the blades slightly one left, the next right, etc. You only need to do it to the blades that run the dimmer wheel. It becomes trickier putting the connector back on, so don't bend them too far or push too hard when reconnecting. If that doesn't work, check the connection to the dimmer wheel. Try the same technique there. Let me know if you have any questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

check to see if the rear tires are making contact with the rear struts or springs, sometimes if you tow a heavy load with these cars it bends the spring perchs down and they rub on the inside tread of the tire, also be sure you have the right tire size on the car please rate -jeff
