If it has a low oil sensor in the system to prevent damage for that condition , you may be able to reset the ECM program using a scan tool

If you ever have an oil leak it really should be fixed right away unless this happened all at once. Go to a local mech or if there is an Autozone around go there and have them check the Engine Light code for you for free. You will have more info to work with.

SOURCE: 1999 mitsubishi eclipse 2.0L na. no start.

On this model engine, the power to the coil pack is delivered directly from the power transistors located inside the PCM.
If you are not getting the signal to fire going into the coil, verify you are getting a good waveform from the crank angle sensor, and that the wiring from it to the PCM is intact. If the crank sensor is delivering signal to the PCM, and the PCM is not generating pulse via the internal power transistors, the PCM has failed (the power transistors blow open, it is fairly common on this Chrysler PCM).

Some Trucks have a safety device that works with the oil pressure sending unit that when it registers low oil pressure will cut off the fuel pump to keep you from damaging your engine. Keep trying to build up pressure by turning the starter also check the safety fuel cut off switch and make sure it didnt trip if it did reset it.

SOURCE: replaced fuel pump in 2000 hyundai elantra and

well if she ran it to long with no oil it might be locked up and might be able to turn it over if its not to bad. but you should still get power going to your fuel pump i would check all connection going to fuel pump and no broken wires. try even un plugging battery to see if there's a bypass

2002 eclipse spider . every once in awhile after it warms up it will not start. Wait 1/2 hour to 45 minutes and car starts just fine. it has happened twice now.

Sounds like it may be running rich and flooding. (too much fuel). Could be the fuel pressure regulator or a bad injector.Sticky Injector would be my guess.

1999 eclipse no spark

On the 2.0 and 2.4 engines there is an ignition module that fires the coil from input from the computer and sensors.
You may have to get a shop manual to have the testing procedures needed to check the module.

My 2001 eclipse had way to much oil what does that affect with the running of the car

a number of things could happen. typically when you have that much "extra" oil in your system it over pressurizes the sytem and can blow out seals and other components. also if it was enough to completely fill the crank case it would blow your compression rings and cause blow bye to enter the cylinder. in which case you need to rebuild your short block.

97 automatic eclipse idles funny. will die just running in park also in the middle of a slow turn or the new thing is i will crank it uo, and it will die due to low rpms?????? please help..... the car only...

hange your fuel from low grade to premium. Your car is designed to use the higher octane gas. For the time being put some octane boost into your tank to boost the low grade fuel that is in there at this time and the fill the tank up with the premium gasoline, using some fuel additive to clean your injectors and lines from the **** gas you had used in it. I had the very same issue with my Mitsubitshi eclipse, and it cleared up once i did these things I am describing to you . Dont forget to rate the answer

check your distributor cap to make sure no oil got in there also check your fuel pressure regulator to see if its a normal pressure any shop can tell you what it should be so just call and ask the fuel pressure tester is about 45 dollars at autozone

Car dies going down highway hard to start afterwards it is a 1997 gs eclipse. what could be causing this

assuming the starter is good and the engine turn over fine but will not fire or run. when the car die, check why is it so hard to start. check if you getting sparks and fuel, no sparks check coil and wires, and if both are good than the cam sensor is bad, no fuel, check the fuel pump, pump good check the crank sensor.

96 eclipse need more info..

This sounds like the timing belt is shot. Remove the distributor cap, have your helper crank the engine. Is the rotor turning?? If not, then it is the timing belt. Some engines are rather forgiving when the belt breaks, some will get bent valves. Frankster016
