I just changed my waterpump. I aligned all my timing marks perfect and I cant get it to start

Yes, a piston is hitting a valve. Start over.

You're timing marks must be off. If the marks on the gears aren't perfectly aligned, it just won't run right. Take off the cover and make sure that when #1 cylinder is at top dead center, the marks are perfect.

You must remove the timing belt and reset all positions carefully taking care to not bend valves when turning engine. It is already possible you may have bent valves

When you did the water pump there are timing marks to get the belt on right that's and interfernce engine so the timing marks have to be lined up perfect or the car will throw up cam and crank codes because the vehicle is not running in time means the timing is off a tooth or two

aling the crank gear to the mark located behind it if you can not find it bring number one piston to the top, then on the cam gear is a small hole use that hole to align with a small divit mark behind it on the cover i use a drill bit. the hole usually points straight up.this is for 2.2 engine only.note this engine does not run with alternator disconnected from engine.

After you aligned the timing marks and tightened up the tensioner pulley, did you re-check your timing marks? Usually when you tighten the tensioner it will pull the cam and crank out of alignment. Line up the crankshaft first and then check to see where your cam gear is. If it is not lined up, loosen the tensioner and move the cam gear ahead to line it back up. If it doesn't line up perfectly then go AHEAD until the marks line up and put the belt back on. If the gear is on the mark and the belt teeth don't line up, move the gear ahead until you can get the belt on,but no more than a full tooth on the belt. Tighten your tensioner and check again. At most the cam sprocket should only be off about 1/2 tooth from the marks and it should be ahead not behind. Re-align your distributor to #1 and it should start. Hope this helps.

Rotate the crankshaft until the timing marks (arrows) on the camshaft sprockets align with each other

try aligning the timing marks again and mark the placement of the number one wire on the distributer housing then remove the cap and align the rotor with the mark then try to start it also it is important to be sure the marks were aligned properly sometimes they have to point together sometimes straight up etc. NOTE:if the valves are damaged you may not be able to start the vehicle even if you have change the timing belt

your timeing marks are on the block rite abouve the cams on either side and on the block in the middle but line the center mark on the teeth there is a mark not the arrow the arrow is where tdc is the mark is on teeth good luck.
