SOURCE: 1999 GMC Suburban 350 wont run

Per your description, it sounds like you are missing an injector pulse from the ECM.
Check the under-hood fuse box and verify the "ECM1" fuse is good (12 volt supply to injectors).
With the key in the run position, verify you have 12 volts at an injector.
Barrow or purchase a "noid" light to verify you have an injector ground pulse from the ECM.
Let me know what you find and we can proceed from there.

Have you checked that engine oil level is okay, if so check that oil pressure switch is good. The switch is usually bypassed to start the engine, but it won't run with no oil pressure indicated...hope this helps

SOURCE: 91 camaro 5.0 5sp no injector pulse and no power to fuel pump

Using a multimeter check the wiring for power at the pump and at the relay. It sounds like a bad relay.

My 2001 Tahoe ran fine going to work. When I got off work, I started it up and it ran for 20 seconds then shut off. started again and started to go home. It jerked twice then ran 100 yards then shut off....

Check the crank position sensor. Also it could be as simple as a bad coil or coil wire. It definitely sounds electrical if you hear fuel pump priming. Also check distributor cap and rotor. Hope this helps

Why car wont crank, but can smell gas

IT IS LOOKS LIKE A FUEL PRESSURE LEAKING INSIDE THE ENGINE OR DEFECTIVE FUEL INJECTOR LEAKING . TRY DISCONNECTING THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. AND CRANK THE ENGINE IF ALWAYS CRANK WITH OUT OF FUEL (CRANK WITHOUT START) YOU HAVE FUEL LEAK INSIDE THE ENGINE
REMOVE THE INJECTORS RAIL UP EVERYTHING CONNECTED,PUT BACK THE FUEL PUMP RELAY TURN THE SWITCH ON AND FIND WICH ONE IS LEAKING. (GASOLINE IS FLAMMABLE TAKE CARE)

Fuel injectors not working

Check voltage at the injectors with key on. Voltage should always be available to injectors with key on. When the ecu grounds the injector circuit internally, for a split second, the injector will pulse, spraying fuel. You can buy a "noid" light to test injector circuit, one that fits your injector connector. To test, you crank the engine over, noid light should be blinking.
Or, use a test light and check injector drive circuit. With key on, one injector terminal should have constant battery voltage-test light should be lit bright. Now move ground clip of test light to the POSITIVE battery post, and probe the other injector terminal, the one that did not light the test light. Have someone crank the engine-if injector circuit is working, the test light will be blinking, indicating the ecu is grounding the injector circuit.
If no voltage to injectors, the drive circuit and wiring needs checked. If no ground signal, the wiring and the ecu needs checked.

Car keeps shutting off while driving. We have changed fuel filter twice worked good for a couple of days and then started again. Any ideas what could be causing this?

Fuel filter is the best place to start but sometimes the fuel pump can cut out intermittently as well and it is also possible that your injectors are gummed up. Perhaps a higher grade of fuel might make a difference or fuel injector cleaner once a month when you fill your tank might help if it is an injector issue.
I am not certain how to tell if the fuel pump is intermittently cutting out other than eliminating other reasonable possibilities. I had that happen to me and like you I changed the fuel filter and ran injector cleaner through my tank and still had the problem. I dropped the tank and replaced the pump and it ran great afterward.

Toy starts runs 10 seconds and stops change fuel filter now wont

When you tur the key forward do you hear the fuel pump running? You should hear a low hum for about 20 seconds near the gas tank and then it stops. If you hear this your pump is good. If it keeps running or you can't hear it at all it's bad or the main fuel pump fuse is blown.

Intermittent no start, very strange, very confusing

Sounds like fuel pump going out. I was told by a friend that the pump can get stuck and that by knocking on the fuel tank or by attempting to start that it can kick the pump out of the bad spot and it will start. But it is a sign that it needs to be replaced.

1989 dodge dynasty. Cutting out while driving it. Then when I press the excellarator it acts like it isn't getting fuel. Then suddenly it works fine. Mechanic cleaned the throttle body and replaced the ASD...

I had this issue last summer. it turned out to be a weak fuel pump. Or more specifically the check valve in the fuel pump. It will buck and carry on when you goose it.

Let it sit after you have run it for a while and the fuel pressure bleeds off. (it is supposed to stay up around 30PSI). When this happens, because of the low pressure and the heat in the engine compartment the fuel will boil in the fuel rail causing a vapor lock. The engine may start after spinning a long while, but will want to cut out if you touch the accelerator. Have your mechanic put a fuel pressure guage on it. it should be up there, like I say, around 30PSI or better when the engine is running. It should hold that when it is shut off. If it bleeds down right away, replace the fuel pump. Took me a long time to figure out what was happeneing on mine.
