Parked at store car had been running fine. tried to start and when it came on it sputtered and died a couple of time like out of gas. gauge is messed up. put gas in still wont start. battery is new and everything coming on
It depends on how much gas you put in also. If you run it dry, you've used up what's in the reserve sump also. Sometimes you have to add at least 2 to 3 gallons before the pump sees any fuel. The gauge not working doesn't help.

I'm still leaning towards pump but you can pull the in line filter off and cycle key few times to see if pump is even trying to work it takes some much psi to even open the injectors to allow fuel to enter the combustion chambers but just make sure you don't mind little fuel spray with the filter off if pump is working properly it's going to shoot fuel out with some force basically it's going to make a mess or you can go get a fuel pressure gage and check it but little gas on the ground saves you money
