Is the bolt just spinning not allowing the nut to come off? In that case remove the starter with the wire attached. Or cut the wire and replace it. Or cut off the nut with a cutoff wheel. If you have the 2 bolts off the starter should come off the car. Unless it has a hidden third bolt! Cut the damn wire if you have to. Don't forget to take off the little wire.

SOURCE: how do i replace the thermostat in 2001 chevy blazer?

Follow the upper radiator hose to the engine. Right where the radiator hose clamps is the thermostat housing. Remove the 2 bolts that hold the housing on and the thermostat is inside.

SOURCE: brake light on 2001 chevy blazer LT 2wd

When my blazer did this they had to replace part of the wiring harness in the steering wheel. It took forever for them to get the parts because we live in nowhereville, but once it was in it works again and no problems. I had to take it to the actual chevy dealer because none of the other places had a clue. good luck.

SOURCE: 1999 Chevy Blazer Starter

the starter is located on the passenger side lower motor. it has two bolts in it that hold it in place. it actually goes through a hole/slot in the transmission to the flex plate.

1st. disconnect the negative cable on the battery.
2nd. raise the vehicle safely and place a jack stand under the vehicle out of your way but near where you will be working(for safety).
3rd. remove the two bolts that hold the starter in place.
4th. remove the wires from the back of the starter.
5th. install in reverse order of above.

note: there may be little plates between the starter and the mounting points called shims. if there are then make sure you put them back.

SOURCE: Wiring Diagram 1998 Chevy S-10 starter replacement

The starter has one large cable from the battery positive, and a wire that goes to the solenoid (Part of the starter) that becomes hot when the key ignition is turned to start. This also passes through the neutral safety switch. (So it wont start in gear) Not sure if this is what you need, a little vague.

Removing starter

Safety first, disconnect the battery, negative terminal first. Remove wires from the starter motor, remove starter mounting bolt (could be two or three bolts, depending on model) and lift the starter out. Replacing is reverse order, it will only go in one way.

Starter contacts need replacing, how do I remove starter

You'll have to remove the starter from beneath the vehicle. There should be three wires that need to be disconnected, and three bolts that mount the opposite end of the starter motor to the drive wheel. Remove these three bolts and pull the starter away from the drive wheel and down to remove. You may see a plastic piece that covers one wire, just pull that out and undo the nut that secures the wire. Make sure you remember how to reinstall the wires-the rest of installation is reverse of removal.

1995 camaro starter

Very easy. Get the car off the ground on the driver side and remove the 2 bolts and 2 wires to the starter and drop down. The exhaust may be or seem to be in the way but you can wiggle it through carefully. wiggle in the replacement and attach the wires carefully and bolt into place checking to make sure your wires are not kinked after you install the bolts. hope this helps
