Question about 1991 Chevrolet S-10

1 Answer

When I turn on my head lights I get the head lights left on signal and none of the dash gages work. The Inition Gages fuse keep blowing and though the heater / A/C fan will blow, the A/C compressor won't come on. What I have found is the brake light switch has two power plugs. with the rear plug unplugged from the switch every thing works right but, then after a short while of driving, the brake light comes on and won't go out until the engine is shut down. Sounds like something electrical has gone out. What do you think? Also, what is this electrical box mounted next to the master brake cylinder with the two wire plugs next to it. Thanks

Will a bad ac compressor cause my instrument cluster fuse to keep blowing out? I have replaced my fuse twice but for some reason it keeps blowing out and my gages wont work and this problem didn't sta

Sounds like a fuse link by the battery. It is common ground on a Ford or most of them, so they are finicky about the ground. If one is going out, it makes your car go crazy in the electrics. BEWARE though, it can kill you if you have an open circuit. Take this problem to a garage person with diagnostic abilities. It is a lot safer.

Gages on the dash quit working is this a fuse problem

the instrument cluster has a fuse that provides power to it. look for the fuse in the fuse box on the bottom left driver side, just underneath the panel. or below the light switch behind the panel.

No dash lights gages work

if I remember correctly there is a separate fuse for the dash lites. check your owners manual for a location. it might be a five amp fuse.

Dash lights or gages on jeep grand cherokee wont work

the wires could be chewed off by mice or there could be a bad connection, also try checking the fuse to see if it is blown and if it keeps blowing then put a higher amp fuse in it.

you have no power coming in from one of the circuits from fusebox under hood. You will need to run new circuit line in from dash and BCM to the fuse box under hood
