You may have a A/C,heater mode door actuator causing this. when this happens try all the different modes until it stops to see which one is causing this. I would start with temp. control first.

It may be a relay clicking. You can test the relay with an ohmmeter or multi-tester. Have you noticed any components not working?

I have the same problem and it is the recirculation mode actuator located just under the bottom of the glove box. There is a gear inside with a broken tooth, hence the clicking as the gear will not move past this point. You will need to replace this part to solve the problem, or unplugg it to make the clicking stop. Unplugging it will cause one of the air functions to not work properly.

More than likely its the blend door motor, they have plastic gears inside, one tooth broke off and when it gets to that spot, starts clicking. The blend door, is behind the glove box. This is a problem with a lot of impalas (GM products ) Good-Day!

A loud rythmic clicking under the dash behind glove box when ignition turned on, once car has started, clicking is faster, but same loudness. Any ideas on the cause? Otherwise, the car rund great.

If I would have to guess, I would say it might be some debris in your blower motor. (usually located behind the glove box on a lot of vehicles). Try turning your heater fan off, or increase the speed, does the "clicking" stop or get faster? If so, you may just have some debris (leaf, twig, etc) in there. The problem may work itself out if thats the case.

Loud ticking noise in cab under glove compatment. The noise is not under hood.

get your owners manual out and find where the fuse panels are. there is generally one under the hood and another one under the dashboard. when you find them, there are relays and flashers plugged in as well as fuses. put your hand on the one under the dash it when you hear the click and you can feel which one it is. if that is not it, i would suggest talking to a chevy service manager about vent and heater box flap actuators as being the cause.

I have a 94 chevy k1500 5.7 every time i start it there is clicking coming from the under side of the pasenger dash, and it also hapends when i turn it off. it only lasts half a minute and it idles alittle...

It is your recirculation door for the a/c.You can replace the electrical motor. Or unplug it if you unplug it the recirculation will not work but a/c still will. Hope this helps

98 chev blazer wont start or make any noises...

Listen for a click from under the steering column when you turn the key on. If you hear no electrical click then your ignition switch could be bad. If you hear an electrical click the you starter soleniod is bad.

Vent Acuator on 1994 Chevy Silverado

I had the same problem and changed it myself. It was a job but can be done yourself. Some call it a Recirculation door actuator, some call it a blend air door actuator. If you look under the dash behind the glove box all the to the fire wall you can see it.There is 2 screws 1-top 1- bottom which you can see easily, the top one you cant see from bottom you have to take out the glove box to see. There is a plug that goes to the actuator, you can actually just unplug it to stop the noise, that will fix the noise and I know some people dont replace the actuator they just leave it like that. I had to go buy a air socket wrench to replace, the smallest one I can find. I wouldnt have done the job without it. Good luck hope this helps. Steve
