SOURCE: clicking noise in front end when 4x4 is ingaged.

Have the front hubs and CV joints checked, that is where this kind of noise most commonly comes from.

06 chevy equinox transmission, put in drive, speedo says 5 to 10 mph but the truck does not move, put in park but truck still rolls, is it transfer case problem because if transmission is in gear, speedo...

You need to adjust the 4x4 shifter itself. That's your only problem. Moving the shifter isn't putting the transfer case into gear and speedo will move, whirring sound is just the bearings spinning. Re-set the 4x4 shifter linkage to proper specs.

When i have the key on in the park position and i hit the brake i hear a clicking noise in the gear is that normal

Yes that clicking noise is a solenoid allowing you to put your vehicle in gear. Try to gently put car in gear without stepping on brake, it shouldn't go, that solenoid is a safety item making sure you have brakes your engaged before moving.

'99 silverado 4x4,new trans,no gears.

I don't see you did anything wrong per your description.
With the engine off, check the level of the transmission oil, replace the dipstick, start the truck and recheck the fluid level, level should drop. This will indicate the front pump is working.

Next, with truck running, put transmission into any gear, then return to park position. Do you hear any ratcheting noise.

Let me know.
