How do i adjust the headlights up on the 2012 escape?

I had this happen with my Chrysler 200. I had to take it to the dealership for an update on the software.

The 2012 Ford Escape has 2 different fuse boxes: ... Brake Shift Interlock (BSI), Passenger compartment fuse panel. Fuse MINI ... Turn signals, Stop lamps.

If it has an adjustment, it will be at the side of the headlight unit. Modern cars have the pattern built into the lens with no adjustment.

You need a special tool called and Optical headlight aimer

The original door code was indeed on a card with the owners manual. If that is gone, the door code is on a module inside the center console on 2008-2012 Ford Escapes. There is a discussion with pictures at one of the Escape forums: http://www.escape-city.com/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=8215

I had to find my code on my 2012 Escape.

up or down is your only adjustment with the torx head screw in the middle, front of the lamp assy

When you look at it from the top down you should see 2 adjustment screws. Remove those and the headlight assembly should come out.

it should be behind the headlight,turn both ways to determine which direction light is going
