Question about 2006 Volkswagen Jetta
A few months ago the driver side window stopped working and the trunk kept opening on it's own. They replaced the wiring harness, it fixed the window but not the trunck. They fixed something else and it seemed ok. Now the passenger door lock, interior light, pasenger window stuck. Light on dash that shows the car with doors open stays on. I am not so trusting of the dealer, last time it cost me $1,000.Help me please! Thanks, Kathy
There is a known issue with the wiring harness in the doors. It's possible that the passenger door also has a bad harness (assuming they swapped out the one in the driver's door) Is that a correct assumption? It may still be related to your original problem too. I've heard of disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes to reset the electrical (door switches). You should def give that a try - it's free.
Also check out the forums at www.tdiclub.com - those guys know their VW TDI's...
